Mission Goal 4
Making Public School Curriculum Transparent and Accessible
Parents and community members have a right to know what is being taught in public schools, particularly when it comes to Jewish history, Israel, and the Middle East. JCAC advocates for complete transparency in public school curricula.
We believe that all curriculum materials, lesson plans, and educational resources used in public schools should be readily available for parent and community review. This transparency is essential for ensuring accuracy, balance, and the absence of antisemitic bias.
Too often, curricula present one-sided narratives about Israel and Jewish history, or include materials that perpetuate harmful stereotypes. By making these materials publicly accessible, we empower parents and community members to advocate for fair and accurate education.
JCAC works to promote legislation and policies requiring curriculum transparency at the state and local levels. We also provide resources to help parents review educational materials and raise concerns when appropriate.
Education shapes the next generation's understanding of Jewish history and the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. We owe it to our children to ensure they receive balanced, factual, and fair instruction that doesn't demonize Jews or Israel.
